My dream is to write about music, theater, gaming and anime

I am a graduate of Ball State University who triple majored in Journalism/Telecommunications (News) and Spanish with a minor Criminal Justice and Criminology I was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana but I live in Hillsboro, Indiana currently. I love writing things relating to pop culture, specifically anime and video game reviews, but I also love publishing feature articles about events happening near my area and events and historical moments that are happening in the whole world; I focus on music features a lot; whether that be events relating to newly released albums or history about Broadway like musicals or operas, etc. I hope to give readers an insight into my life by discovering the things I’m passionate about, with the added bonus of educating people about what is going on in the world as we know it today in an accurate representation.

With this being said, I’ve always loved writing things as a little kid. I played video games and sang a lot when I was young. All of these hobbies are something I’m still passionate about to this day which is why I want to pursue a career as a journalist going into depth about these things.

What I do

- Write articles about local events around my hometown but also about important historical events happening throughout the world.

Reviews

Reviewing encourages observation, perception, and general awareness after doing something. I adore reviewing pop culture, which interests me in things like the recently released video games, anime episodes, and much more. It gives people an insight into my hobbies and personality. All of my reviews are written from my perception of something, and I'm careful to explain every instance why I think the way I do about something in great detail because it helps consumers not only know about what they might consider buying but producers of the content to possibly make changes due to the critiques I made in my review.

Feauture Articles

Feature articles are something I love to write, whether it be local or global news. I'm particularly interested in covering news about the music industry, whether it be history or info about a music artist or celebrity, or something happening on Broadway. I also like writing features about space and technology. I love entertaining and informing my audience as quickly as possible. I also strive for accuracy in all the content I make to ensure you know what is happening in the world without any falsities. I check my sources to ensure they're trustworthy and never overexaggerate any information or statements in my articles. Finally, I love connecting emotionally to my audience with the articles I make, as well as giving stability to constructive public opinion and facts.

Podcast

I don't do many podcasts or other audio and video-related content on my website, but when I do, it is usually me discussing opinions about different anime, manga, or video games me and my friends have recently watched, read or played. I make sure the mixing of my podcast is to everyone's listening pleasure.

-I macro and micro edited the many magazines that were printed from Ball Bearings in the year I was in the student-led organization at Ball State University

-I'm currently involved in the review, features, and podcast sections of Byte BSU, a student-led organization that focuses on news of pop culture at Ball State University. I run video game podcasts talking about upcoming games, write reviews from recently played video games, listened to music, and watched anime, and write features of thing happening locally

Treasurer and member of Alpha Mu Gamma:
March 2023-May 2025

--I'm currently involved in Alpha Mu Gamma, the language national honor society at our school, which holds weekly meetings and discusses upcoming events like Harvest Week, cultural trivia night, etc. As a member, I tutor my specialized field of language study, Spanish. I'm also part of the exec board as treasurer, in which I oversee and handle all financial matters associated with the Beta Rho Chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma, including payments to the National Office and other student organizations, as well as collect all dues (if required) and issue all receipts as well as any necessary reimbursements for things like apparel. I must always communicate things I get done to the president of the society.
